Your tool inputs

Name, form-message, form-field, character-width, character-count, address, date, era, and phone-number tools run in your browser. Those inputs are not intentionally uploaded to or stored by Tools For Japan. Avoid entering information you do not need to process.

Postal code lookups

The Postal Code Lookup—and the optional locality comparison inside the Address Formatter—sends the seven-digit postal code you enter to ZipCloud so it can return the matching locality from its copy of Japan Post’s published postal data. The Address Formatter compares that locality with your address in your browser. Tools For Japan does not send names, building details, or complete street addresses with the request and does not store the lookup result.

Privacy-friendly audience measurement

Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregate traffic and performance information such as page views, visits, referrers, country, browser type, and page-load performance. It does not use cookies or local storage, does not fingerprint visitors, and is not used for advertising, user-level profiles, or custom interaction events.

Hosting and security data

The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like other web hosts, Cloudflare may process technical request data—such as IP address, request time, browser information, and security signals—to deliver and protect the service. Cloudflare also processes aggregate Web Analytics data, but tool inputs are never part of those analytics requests.

Service providers and retention

Cloudflare processes hosting, security, and Web Analytics data under its own terms and privacy practices. ZipCloud processes postal-code lookup requests under its API terms and privacy practices. Analytics, hosting, and security records follow Cloudflare’s applicable retention settings.
